Le Prieuré

Le Prieuré is rented as a whole: the 250 m² villa has four bedrooms and three bathrooms and can accommodate up to ten guests. Sleeping arrangements include two extra-large double beds, one large double bed, one double bed and a sofa bed. This layout suits stays with family or friends, with shared spaces for spending time together and a well-equipped kitchen for preparing meals.

The bedrooms and living spaces open onto several views, including the garden, pool, town and surrounding hills. A balcony and terrace extend the rooms outdoors. Air conditioning, soundproofing and a flat-screen TV are also among the villa’s amenities. The bathroom has a shower or bath; there are three bathrooms in total.

Le Prieuré’s outdoor spaces include a private pool, garden, balcony and sun terrace. Outdoor furniture and sun loungers make it easy to enjoy the fresh air, while parasols provide shade. Yoga classes and several types of massage are available for relaxation; a hammam, spa and wellness centre complete the facilities.

The villa also has a games room and offers bike hire. For meals, it has a restaurant and a teapot with a coffee machine. Wi-Fi and parking are free. Air conditioning, heating and soundproofed rooms complete the amenities. Families have rooms suited to their stay, and pets are welcome at no extra charge.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a Provençal village known for its wines and vine-covered hillsides. You can explore the village on foot, walking between stone houses, narrow streets and the château ruins, with views over the Rhône Valley. Its atmosphere brings together rural heritage and wine culture; visitors interested in appellations, vineyard landscapes and Provençal villages will find plenty to shape their stay.

The Château de Châteauneuf-du-Pape overlooks the village and recalls its history, linked to the popes of Avignon. The Church of the Assumption and the Wine Museum complete a visit to the village. Several wine estates are nearby, including Domaine des Sénéchaux and Domaine Ogier. Avignon makes a good day trip to explore the Palace of the Popes and Pont Saint-Bénézet, both part of the region’s historic landscape. Bédarrides and Courthézon railway stations are 5 km away; a car makes it easier to travel between the villages and wine estates.

The grape harvest, from late summer into autumn, offers a special opportunity to discover the work of local winegrowers and the landscapes of the valley. In spring, walks through the vineyards benefit from milder temperatures; summer brings hot days, making visits in the early morning or late afternoon more suitable.
