Le Provençal

Le Provençal offers two categories of double rooms, each accommodating two people. They share several amenities: air conditioning, a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, a wardrobe and soundproofed walls. The windows overlook the garden or the town, and the bathrooms include free toiletries and a hairdryer. Both categories also have heating.

The Standard Double Room measures 9 m² and has a shower. The Superior Double Room is more spacious, at 15 m², and stands out for its bathtub, sofa and bathrobes. Both rooms have a double bed. The rooms are accessible by stairs only; the garden provides an additional outdoor space.

Le Provençal has a restaurant and bar, as well as a garden furnished with outdoor furniture. Guests can enjoy the sun terrace. Free private parking is available on site, with no prior reservation required. Pets are welcome at no extra charge. The indoor areas have heating and air conditioning; soundproofing and tiled or marble floors are also provided.

Family rooms and non-smoking rooms are among the available options. Room amenities include a private bathroom, free toiletries, towels, a hairdryer and a wardrobe. Each room has a flat-screen TV. The restaurant and bar offer two dining areas within the hotel, while the garden and terraces provide outdoor spaces. The upper floors are accessible by stairs. The hotel does not have an Internet connection.

Aups is a town in the Haut-Var, surrounded by Provençal hills and Mediterranean landscapes. Its narrow streets, squares and old façades make it a pleasant place to explore on foot. The village is also known for black truffles, which play an important part in its identity and local life. Place Martin Bidouré provides access to the streets of the centre and several of the town’s heritage landmarks.

The Maison de la Truffe, 60 m away, explores the links between the local area and this emblematic product. The Collégiale Saint-Pancrace, 90 m away, stands out in the village landscape for its religious architecture. The market is held at Place Frédéric Mistral, 80 m away; it is a place to discover regional produce. For an outing in nature, Lake Sainte-Croix is 10 km away and offers waterside scenery and Provençal landscapes. The troglodyte caves of Villecroze are another excursion in the surrounding area.

Spring and autumn are well suited to walks through villages and visits to markets, with temperatures generally milder than in the height of summer. In summer, the days are ideal for swimming and trips to the lake; it is best to take water and protect yourself from the sun during the hottest hours. You could start the day by exploring Aups town centre, continue with lunch featuring flavours of the Var, and finish by the lake or on the scenic roads of the Verdon.
