Le Rabuons

Le Rabuons offers twin, triple and family rooms, suitable for solo travellers, small groups and families alike. The first three categories have a private bathroom with a shower, heating, a wardrobe and a flat-screen TV. The family rooms differ in their capacity and layout: one accommodates up to five people and the other up to six. Both have several single beds, making them suitable for stays with family or friends.

The twin room measures 12 m² and has two single beds; the triple room offers 15 m² and three single beds. The first family room measures 18 m², with five single beds and a private bathroom. The second measures 17 m² and has six single beds, without a private bathroom. Bed linen and towels are provided in the categories where these facilities are specified.

Le Rabuons provides free private on-site parking, with no need to reserve in advance, as well as free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. You can enjoy the garden, terrace and outdoor furniture after a day in the mountains. There is also a café on site. For meals, a continental or buffet breakfast is served every morning; lunch and dinner are available if booked the day before.

The hotel offers luggage storage, packed lunches and private check-in or check-out. Guests with reduced mobility have wheelchair access and toilets with grab rails. A lift, heating and family rooms complete the facilities. Pets are allowed, possibly for an additional charge. To prepare for your arrival, guests are welcomed between 17:30 and 19:00 and must let the hotel know their expected arrival time in advance. Table tennis and pétanque are available on site.

Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée is an Alpine village in the Tinée Valley, in the Alpes-Maritimes, with mountain houses and a way of life shaped by outdoor activities. The landscape quickly rises around the village, with forests, peaks and valleys. This stop suits travellers looking for trails, high-altitude views or a village atmosphere rather than the beaches of the French Riviera. Mercantour National Park stretches across this part of the Alps, with hiking routes and mountain scenery.

In the village, Saint-Étienne Church and Saint-Michel Chapel are landmarks to look out for on a walk. The Pinatelle ski lifts are 400 m away; the resort of Auron, 3.6 km away, offers mountain activities and ski slopes in winter. The Chamois Viewpoint, 4.5 km away, provides elevated views of the surrounding mountains. Valley roads connect the hamlets and neighbouring villages; a car is useful for exploring different parts of the Mercantour.

In winter, Auron attracts skiers and other snow-sports enthusiasts. In warmer weather, hiking trails take over, with routes for different levels, while walks around the village offer a more leisurely pace. Spring and summer are good for high-altitude excursions, depending on access and snow conditions. For a day out, you can spend the morning exploring the lanes and buildings in the village, then head towards Auron or a valley trail. In the late afternoon, take a break on the terrace before enjoying the cool mountain air.
