Le Relais des Templiers

The four rooms at Le Relais des Templiers accommodate two to five people. Each has a private bathroom with a shower, air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. The 23 m² and 26 m² double rooms are suitable for two guests; the Deluxe category offers a little more space than the standard double room. Another double room, measuring 32 m², can accommodate three people and includes a futon in addition to the large bed.

The Superior Family Room is the largest, at 37 m², and accommodates five people. It has two single beds and a large double bed, or a futon depending on the configuration. Terraces and garden views set several rooms apart; some also overlook the town or inner courtyard. Amenities also include a dishwasher, and several rooms are soundproofed.

The garden at Le Relais des Templiers has outdoor furniture and a sun terrace. A picnic area provides a place to sit outside, while the garden and views of the surrounding area round out these spaces. The rooms have private entrances, and several are soundproofed. Air conditioning is provided, along with heating for cooler periods. Family rooms and non-smoking rooms are available.

Free private parking is available. Wi-Fi is accessible free of charge throughout the property, and the rooms have a flat-screen TV. For meals prepared on site, amenities include a fridge, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, dishwasher and dining table. The private bathrooms have a shower, towels, bed linen, free toiletries and a hairdryer. A safe, wardrobe or clothes rack, desk and ironing facilities are also among the amenities.

Villecroze is a village in the Haut-Var, surrounded by Provençal landscapes of wooded hills, vineyards and stone villages. Its narrow streets and squares retain a peaceful scale, appealing to travellers who want to discover inland Provence rather than stay on the coast. The village is best known for its troglodyte caves, carved into the cliff, and the park at its foot. You can discover local life by wandering through the centre and stopping in the shady spots.

The troglodyte caves of Villecroze are among the area's most distinctive sights; the nearby park offers a walk among the trees. Saint-Victor Chapel is 250 m away and is another local landmark. The villages of Tourtour and Salernes offer the chance to explore more of the Var's small towns, while the surrounding wine estates give you a glimpse of the Provençal agricultural landscape. A car makes it easier to travel between these villages and the scattered sights of the hinterland. La Môle–Saint-Tropez and Toulon-Hyères airports are 45 km and 53 km away, respectively.

Spring and autumn are good times for walks through the villages and landscapes of the Haut-Var, with temperatures often milder than in high summer. In July and August, days can be hot: plan outdoor visits for the morning, then take a break in the shade or on a terrace during the sunniest hours. You can combine a visit to the Villecroze caves and park with an excursion to nearby villages, taking time to explore the narrow streets and views of inland Provence.
