Le Romulus

Le Romulus’s holiday homes come in one- or two-bedroom layouts for two to six people. All have a private bathroom, a living area, air conditioning and a terrace overlooking the garden. A kitchenette or equipped kitchen lets you prepare meals; facilities include a fridge, hob, microwave and coffee machine. The barbecue and flat-screen TV are among the amenities available across the different categories.

The one-bedroom homes range from 20 to 40 m² and have either a double bed or a large double bed, as well as a sofa bed in several layouts. The two-bedroom homes offer 60 m², two large double beds and a sofa bed in the living area. They accommodate up to six people. The 20 m² home is the most compact option, while the two-bedroom homes provide more space for family stays.

The outdoor areas include a garden, several terraces, outdoor furniture and an al fresco dining area. You can use the barbecue and enjoy the parasols and sun loungers. A picnic area is also available. Free public parking is available on site, including a space accessible to guests with reduced mobility.

The accommodation is air-conditioned and has a kitchen or kitchenette with a fridge, hob, microwave, kettle and coffee machine. Breakfast can be served in your room. Activities in the surrounding area include cycling, hiking, horse riding, canoeing and fishing. Pet bowls are provided, and pets are allowed, possibly for an additional charge.

Roumoules is a village in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, surrounded by plateaux, fields and hills. Its church and quiet streets give the village a Provençal feel, away from the larger towns. The area suits travellers looking to combine village visits, outdoor walks and days by the water. The nearby village of Riez offers a historic stop and local amenities.

The Verdon Regional Natural Park stretches around the village and offers numerous walking and cycling routes. Lake Sainte-Croix, 5 km away, is a great place to enjoy the shores and water sports. Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, 12 km away, is known for its narrow streets, faience workshops and setting beneath the cliffs. The Verdon Gorge draws visitors keen to see dramatic scenery and go canoeing. Riez, 2.9 km away, has ancient remains and Provençal heritage.

To explore the region, you could spend a day visiting villages and markets, then plan another outing to the lake shores or the gorge. The warmer months are well suited to swimming and water sports; spring and autumn often bring more favourable temperatures for walks and sightseeing. In summer, set out early for hikes and the most popular sites. A car makes it easier to travel between the villages, the Verdon scenery and the various access points to the lake.
