Le Serre Barbin - Chalet ensoleillé, tout confort

Le Serre Barbin is let as a whole: it is an 80 m² chalet with three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a living room. It accommodates up to eight people. Two bedrooms each have a large double bed; the third has four single beds, a practical arrangement for children or friends travelling together. Each bedroom has an associated private bathroom.

Le Serre Barbin is a mountain hamlet in the commune of Le Monêtier-les-Bains, in the Guisane Valley. The landscape is characterised by meadows, forests and the peaks of the Écrins. The area attracts hikers and visitors seeking a mountain stay; in winter, it is part of the Serre Chevalier ski area, popular for skiing and snow activities. The pace changes with the seasons, from days on the slopes to outings on Alpine trails.

Several ski lifts in the area are about 1.4 km away, and the village of Le Monêtier-les-Bains is 3.5 km away. La Salle-les-Alpes, another village in the valley and a Serre Chevalier resort, is 2.5 km away. The Écrins National Park borders the area, and you can explore its protected landscapes along hiking routes. About 10 km away, Briançon offers the chance to visit its fortified town and historic gates. Briançon train station is also 10 km away. A car makes it easier to travel between the villages, trailheads and different parts of the ski area.

In winter, you can spend the day skiing before returning to the atmosphere of the valley villages. From June to September, the trails and mountain scenery are well suited to walks; choose a route appropriate to the mountain conditions. For a more cultural day out, combine a visit to Briançon’s Vauban fortifications with a return journey through the villages of the Guisane Valley. Chapelle Saint-Mamet and Église Sainte-Lucie also bear witness to the local heritage and can be discovered on a walk through the hamlets.
