Les Chambres de l'Oustalet, Chambres d'hôtes et Restaurant étoilé

Les Chambres de l'Oustalet offers five room categories, from the Double Room to the suites, ranging in size from 15 to 30 m². The Double Room accommodates two guests. The two Superior rooms also sleep two and measure 15 m². Every room has a private bathroom, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, soundproofing, a minibar and a coffee machine. The rooms are accessed by stairs.

The suites offer more space and can accommodate three or four guests. The Junior Suite combines a bedroom with a double bed and a sofa bed; it overlooks the village. The Superior Suite has a seating area and sleeping space for four, with a double bed and two single beds. Room descriptions also mention a walk-in shower, toiletries, a bathrobe and slippers. Each category therefore has a private bathroom and amenities designed for a comfortable stay.

Life moves at a relaxed pace, with vineyards and hiking trails among the main attractions.

The Dentelles de Montmirail form limestone ridges popular with hikers and climbers; several routes cross vineyards and garrigue landscapes. Chapelle Saint-Cosme is 500 m away, and the Longue Toque estate is 700 m away. Further afield, Vaison-la-Romaine offers ancient remains, a Roman bridge and the narrow streets of its upper town. Courthézon and Carpentras have railway stations, 12 km and 13 km away respectively. Nîmes-Alès-Camargue-Cévennes Airport is 64 km away. A car makes it easier to travel between villages, estates and hiking trails.

Spring and autumn are good seasons for walks through the vineyards and excursions on the trails, with temperatures generally milder than in midsummer. In summer, plan hikes for early morning and leave time to visit wine cellars and taste local wines. A day could combine a walk in the Dentelles, a stop in Vaison-la-Romaine and a return to Gigondas to discover the village’s wine estates. The slopes of Mont Ventoux also offer wide-ranging views for anyone who enjoys Provençal scenery.
