Lodges de Camargue

The accommodation comes in four layouts, from a compact lodge to a multi-bedroom lodge and a lodge with a living room. Lodge Lovely measures 24 m² and has a bedroom for two, a kitchen and a terrace with garden views. Lodge Friendly, measuring 35 m², comprises two bedrooms separated by a large terrace; the two areas are not directly connected. It suits companions who want to stay together while keeping separate bedrooms.

Lodge Crazy also measures 35 m², with a bedroom, a living room and two bathrooms, one of which has a bath. The Double or Twin Room is more compact at 11 m² and can be arranged with a double bed or two single beds. All accommodation has a private bathroom, a kitchen or kitchenette, air conditioning and a terrace with garden views. A flat-screen TV and coffee machine complete the shared amenities.

The outdoor areas include a garden and a sun terrace with furniture and an open-air dining area. You can also hire bicycles on site or play darts. Free private indoor parking is available without prior reservation. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property, and the accommodation has air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a private entrance.

The kitchens and kitchenettes are equipped with a fridge, microwave, hob and kitchenware; there is also a coffee machine. The rooms have a private bathroom, bed linen and towels. Facilities for guests with reduced mobility are available, including a low washbasin, raised toilet and grab rails. Wheelchair access and ground-floor rooms make it easier to get around. Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône lies at the western edge of the Camargue, between the Rhône delta and the Mediterranean. This port town has a distinctly waterside character: basins, canals and water activities sit alongside the open salt flats and beaches. The landscape is flat and bright, shaped by natural spaces, with an atmosphere that differs from that of the Provençal villages inland. The area suits travellers who want to alternate between swimming, walks and birdwatching.

The Domaine de la Palissade has trails through the delta’s natural habitats. Piémanson Beach stretches along the coast and is well suited to days by the sea; Olga Beach is another option for enjoying the shore. Anse de Carteau is associated with lagoon landscapes and activities around the port. In town, Saint-Louis Church and the gardens of the Tour offer a glimpse of the local setting. Lodges de Camargue is 1.6 km from the Domaine de la Palissade and 4.4 km from Piémanson Beach. Marseille-Provence Airport is 58 km away.

A car makes it easier to reach the beaches and different parts of the delta, where the distances between natural sites are considerable. In spring and autumn, temperatures are often pleasant for walking and birdwatching; summer is better suited to seaside outings, with sustained heat and more visitors. Set aside a day for the lagoons, salt flats and coastline, leaving time to enjoy the changing light across the Camargue landscapes.
