Mas de Vence - Hotel-Restaurant

Le Mas de Vence offers eight room categories, suited to solo travellers, couples and families. Options range from the Standard Single Room to the Classic Family Room, with several double, twin and triple room types. Room sizes range from 9 to 24 m², depending on the category. All rooms have a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV. Several categories have air conditioning, but the Economy Double or Twin Room does not.

Single rooms have one single bed; double room categories offer one large double bed or, in the twin version, two single beds. The triple room combines one single bed and one double bed. For families, the 24 m² room accommodates up to four people and has two single beds and one large double bed. Rooms also offer practical amenities such as a hairdryer and a desk, and, depending on the category, satellite channels.

Le Mas de Vence brings together a range of services for leisure stays and business trips. The indoor private car park is free and has access for guests with reduced mobility. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. Outside, the swimming pool is equipped with sun loungers, parasols and a fence; the garden, terraces and picnic area provide different places to relax.

The restaurant, bar and breakfast in the room are among the dining options, along with children’s menus. A shared lounge with a TV, luggage storage and a business centre add to the spaces available to guests. The hotel also has an indoor play area, a lift and facilities for guests with reduced mobility. Air conditioning and heating are provided in the relevant areas. Pets may be allowed on request, with a possible supplement. Pool or beach towels are available.

Vence is an old Provençal town in the hills, between Nice and the first foothills of the Prealps. Its narrow lanes, medieval gates and squares give the historic centre the feel of a small town in the south, while the surrounding scenery alternates between gardens, olive groves and wooded slopes. The town suits visitors drawn to heritage, art and walks, while still making trips to the coast possible.

In the centre, the Cathedral of the Nativity of Our Lady and the old gates punctuate a walk through the historic streets. Espace muséal Gombrowicz and Château de Villeneuve are 280 m and 330 m away, respectively. Chapelle du Rosaire, decorated by Henri Matisse, is another notable place in Vence. In Saint-Paul-de-Vence, the village lanes and Fondation Maeght, known for its modern and contemporary art collections, make for a cultural outing. Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is 9 km away, and the beaches of Cagnes-sur-Mer provide access to the coast.

In the warmer months, you can split your visits between hilltop villages and the Mediterranean; spring and autumn temperatures are often suitable for walks in the hinterland. A day can begin in Vence’s old town, continue at Fondation Maeght or in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, then end by the sea. In summer, plan heritage visits for the cooler parts of the day and save the beaches for late afternoon. A car makes it easier to explore the villages and scenery around Vence.
