Mas du Bacalan

Le Mas du Bacalan offers two family suites, both 15 m² and with a private bathroom. Each has a patio and a terrace, with views of the garden, swimming pool and mountains. Both room types are suitable for family stays, but differ considerably in capacity and bed layout.

The Family Suite accommodates four people and has a double bed and two single beds. The Deluxe Family Suite accommodates up to ten people, with two double beds and six single beds; its bathroom has a bathtub, while the other suite has a shower. The rooms also include a fan and outdoor furniture. The upper floors are accessible by stairs only.

The garden and sun terrace are arranged around the outdoor swimming pool, with sun loungers, a fence and a patio. A picnic area, an outdoor dining area and barbecue facilities make it possible to eat outside. Outdoor furniture completes these spaces. There are outdoor play equipment and an indoor play area for children; the games room and board games also provide indoor activities.

Activities on offer include table tennis, badminton, walks, cycling, hiking, canoeing and horse riding. Bike tours and classes about local culture are also available. You can attend concerts or shows, take a yoga class or enjoy massages, including a full-body massage, as well as the solarium. A shared lounge with a TV and a laundry room complete the property's facilities and services.

Mormoiron is a village in the Vaucluse, on the foothills of Mont Ventoux. The landscape alternates between hills, vineyards and limestone terrain, with country roads linking the towns of the region. The village retains a tranquil scale and is well suited to walks through lanes, squares and open landscapes. Hiking and cycling enthusiasts will find varied terrain here, from village routes to the slopes of the mountain range.

The Musée de Mormoiron offers a look at local history, while the Grotte des ocres recalls the colourful soils characteristic of the area. The natural areas of the mares de la Pavouyère and the Salettes et Vallat de Marquetton offer walks amid vegetation and garrigue landscapes. Villes-sur-Auzon and Blauvac are other nearby towns to explore. Mont Ventoux dominates the surroundings and attracts cyclists and walkers alike; its roads and trails change character with the altitude. Carpentras, served by train, is a regional transport hub.

For an active day, you can cycle along part of the Ventoux roads or choose a walk in the hills, then spend another outing exploring the villages and heritage sites of the Vaucluse. Spring and autumn are suitable for outdoor activities in milder temperatures; in summer, it is best to plan the most exposed outings early in the day. The region's villages and wine estates also make pleasant stops, particularly during the grape harvest in September and October.
