Terre de Bacchus

Terre de Bacchus offers five accommodation units for two people: four studios with different layouts and a one-bedroom apartment. All have a private bathroom and a kitchenette equipped with a hob, fridge and microwave. Air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a coffee machine are also provided. Sizes range from 22 to 36 m². Views are of the inner courtyard, garden or swimming pool. Several units have a patio, terrace or balcony.

The apartment stands out for its separate living room and terrace overlooking the garden. One studio overlooks the inner courtyard; others offer views of the garden and swimming pool, and some have a balcony. Each unit is soundproofed and includes a minibar and sauna. The kitchenettes allow you to prepare simple meals on site.

Outdoor spaces are an important feature at Terre de Bacchus: you’ll find an outdoor swimming pool, garden, sun terrace and outdoor furniture, including a dining area. There is also a picnic area for eating outdoors. For relaxation, the sauna and sun loungers complement the facilities. Pool or beach towels are also provided.

Free private parking is available on site and includes an electric vehicle charging station. Wi-Fi is free in the communal areas. For refreshments, facilities include a minibar, tea and coffee-making facilities; wine or champagne is also available. Activities listed include walking tours, bike tours and hiking. Packed lunches, luggage storage and private check-in and check-out are among the services. Laundry facilities and badminton equipment complete the amenities available.

Vacqueyras is a wine-growing village in the Vaucluse, known for its wine appellation and vineyard landscapes. The centre retains the scale of a Provençal market town, with its streets and Saint-Barthélemy Church. Visitors come to discover the estates of the southern Rhône Valley, taste local wines and follow paths across the hillsides. The surrounding countryside alternates between vineyards, olive groves and limestone terrain.

The Dentelles de Montmirail, 3.9 km away, form jagged ridges that are ideal for hiking and offer views over the vineyards. The neighbouring village of Gigondas shares this wine-growing landscape and offers another stop for discovering the region’s wines. Longue Toque estate and Saint-Cosme Chapel are also nearby. For access to towns and major routes, Carpentras railway station is 11 km away; Avignon, with its Palace of the Popes and ramparts, is 34 km away. A car makes it easier to travel between villages and estates.

Spring and autumn are pleasant times to walk among the vineyards and explore the villages without the summer heat. In September and October, the grape harvest brings a particular rhythm to the wine-growing region. During a day here, you can spend the morning walking in the Dentelles, then explore Vacqueyras and its wine cellars in the afternoon. In summer, plan hikes for early morning and save the hottest hours for the swimming pool or a winery visit.
