Villa Les Chariotins

The four rooms at Villa Les Chariotins are designed for two people and range from 12 to 16 m². They are all called “Twin Room with Garden View”, except for the first, named “Double Room with Garden View”. They overlook the garden and, in some cases, the swimming pool or inner courtyard. A balcony, terrace or patio is among the outdoor spaces associated with the rooms.

The first room stands out for its private bathroom; the other three have a shared bathroom. Bedding arrangements vary: a double bed in the first room, two single beds in the last, and either two single beds or one extra-large double bed in the two middle rooms. A kitchen and coffee machine are among the featured amenities. Each room accommodates up to two people.

The seasonal outdoor swimming pool has a shallow end. The garden, patio and terraces are the main outdoor spaces, with furniture, a dining area and a picnic area. Sun loungers and parasols are also provided. Indoors, a shared lounge with a TV offers a place to spend time together.

Guests can use a shared kitchen with a hob, oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, kettle and kitchenware. A coffee machine and tea and coffee-making facilities are also provided. Continental or buffet breakfast is served on site. Wi-Fi is free throughout the house, and private parking is free. Activities on offer include walking tours, cycling, hiking, canoeing, horse riding and skiing. An airport shuttle is available at an additional charge.

Draguignan lies inland in the Var, amid a Provençal landscape of hills, pine forests and vineyards. This small city combines an old town with narrow streets and squares with more recent districts. Its local history and museums make it an interesting stop for travellers wishing to discover the Var beyond the coast. The surrounding countryside is well suited to drives, walks and stops at wine estates.

The Artillery Museum, dedicated to military history, is 1.4 km from the villa. In the centre, the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions explores Provençal life and traditional skills; the Porte de Rome recalls the city's former fortifications. The Draguignan American Cemetery is a memorial to American soldiers of the Second World War. The nearby village of Trans-en-Provence is a place to extend your walk beyond the city. Les Arcs–Draguignan railway station is 8 km away, while a car makes it easier to travel to the villages and estates of the Var.

Spring and autumn are pleasant times to explore the narrow streets, visit museums and discover the vineyard routes. In summer, the outdoor swimming pool and trips into the countryside offer a break after sunny days; the Var coast can also be visited on an excursion. In the late season, the grape harvest is an opportunity to learn about local wines. A day can begin with a visit to the old town, continue at the Artillery Museum and end with a walk among the hills and vineyards.
