CHALETS Climatisés

Both units are independent chalets with a private entrance, air conditioning and a private bathroom. Each has a well-equipped kitchen, a washing machine, a flat-screen TV and a terrace overlooking the garden and pool. The kitchen includes a fridge, an oven and a hob.

The Chalet measures 21 m² and has a bedroom with a double bed. The larger Superior Chalet, at 28 m², also has a separate living area and a sofa bed in addition to the double bed. Both units have a shower or bath, a hairdryer, a fridge, a coffee machine and a kettle. The Superior Chalet suits travellers who want a separate seating area, while the first chalet combines the living spaces in a more compact layout.

Each chalet has a well-equipped kitchen for preparing meals, with a hob, oven, fridge, toaster, kettle and kitchenware. A coffee machine and dining table complete the space. The washing machine, ironing facilities and drying rack are useful for longer stays.

Air conditioning, heating and a flat-screen TV with cable and satellite channels are also available. Each unit has a private bathroom with a shower or bath, toilet and hairdryer. Outside, the garden, dining furniture, parasols and sun loungers accompany the seasonal pool. Free Wi-Fi is available in the bedrooms. Free private parking is available on site without prior reservation.

Salernes is a village in the Provençal Var, set among hills, forests and small roads linking the inland communities. Its history is closely tied to ceramics: the Terra Rossa Museum presents local pottery and production. The village appeals to travellers looking for a country stay among artisan heritage, markets and excursions in the Haut-Var. The chalets are in the Route des Quatre Chemins area, with the centre of Salernes about 800 m away.

The Terra Rossa Museum is worth visiting to discover terracotta traditions and the history of the region’s workshops. In Sillans-la-Cascade, a trail leads to viewpoints over the waterfall, through a wooded natural setting. The troglodyte caves of Villecroze bear witness to dwellings carved into the cliff and can be explored on an outing to the neighbouring village. The castle ruins and wine estates offer other places to stop in the area. A car is useful for getting between the villages and natural attractions; Toulon-Hyères Airport is about 50 km away.

Days can combine a visit to the village, a look at its ceramics and a walk through the Haut-Var countryside. Warmer days are suitable for swimming and hiking, while spring and autumn offer the chance to explore the villages in often milder temperatures. In summer, it is best to plan walks early in the day, especially when heading to natural attractions. Departmental roads link Salernes with Sillans-la-Cascade, Villecroze and the other wine-producing communities in the area.
