Gite des Ocres

Le Gite des Ocres offers a two-bedroom house designed to accommodate up to four people. Each bedroom has a double bed, and the living room also has a sofa bed. The bathroom is private, and the living area is arranged around a kitchenette, a dining area and a sofa. Together, these features make up an independent 36 m² home, suitable for stays with family or friends.

The terrace is one of the home's distinctive features: it overlooks the garden, pool and surrounding hills. You'll find outdoor furniture and a barbecue for dining outside. A car makes it easier to get around: public transport does not serve the accommodation.

Nearby, the Manège des ocres offers an insight into the heritage associated with this coloured earth, while the area's hills and trails are suited to hiking and cycling. The Fort de Buoux, a medieval remnant set in a rocky landscape, makes for an outing focused on history and views. Apt, with its old town and museums, is another option for a cultural visit or a stop at the market. The Ochre Trail and the Village des Bories are also among the area's possible excursions.

In spring and autumn, temperatures are often pleasant for walks and outdoor visits; summer brings warmer days and more activity in Provençal villages. You can spend a morning on the paths around Villars, then head to Apt to wander its streets and visit a museum. For a day focused on the scenery, the villages of the Luberon and the ochre sites offer a range of stops, depending on the weather and how much you feel like walking.
