Gite les pinées

Le Gite les pinées offers three types of accommodation: a bed in a 40 m² mixed dormitory, a 14 m² family room and a 20 m² double room with mountain views. The dormitory is arranged for one person, the double room for two and the family room can accommodate up to four guests. Sleeping arrangements include bunk beds in the dormitory, a double bed and bunk beds in the family room, and a large double bed in the double room.

All three spaces have heating and share a bathroom with a shower. The family room has several beds and also includes a folding bed; the double room also has a folding bed and opens onto mountain views. The dormitory, larger than the other two rooms, has bunk beds. Books, DVDs or music for children, as well as board games or puzzles, are available in each space.

Le Gite les pinées has a garden, outdoor furniture and two terraces, one of which is a sun terrace. A picnic area and barbecue facilities let you eat outdoors. Guests can also enjoy a games room, an indoor play area and outdoor play equipment for children. Books, DVDs, music and board games are provided for younger guests. Walking and hiking are among the leisure activities available, and evening entertainment is organised on site.

The on-site restaurant, bar and café provide additional shared spaces; wine and champagne are available, as are children's menus. The family rooms cater to guests travelling together. Free parking is available on site, and pets are allowed on request, with a possible extra charge. The outdoor spaces and leisure facilities offer several ways to enjoy a stopover in the Alps.

Châteauroux-les-Alpes is a mountain village in the Embrunais, in the Hautes-Alpes, amid Alpine valleys and the landscapes of Écrins National Park. Its scattered hamlets, mountain terrain and hiking trails give it a rural atmosphere, appreciated by travellers looking for outdoor activities rather than the bustle of a large town. Les Pinées is in an area where walks and panoramic views are part of everyday life.

The Cheminées de Fées des Fasis, rock formations sculpted by erosion, are 1.5 km away. The market of local producers and artisans offers a chance to discover the valley's produce, while Saint-Irénée Church and the castle ruins bear witness to the village's history. The Cascade de la Pisse, 3.8 km away, is a popular nature excursion for walkers. Embrun, with its shops and heritage, is accessible by car; its railway station is 6 km away. Montdauphin-Guillestre railway station is 10 km away.

Écrins National Park offers many hiking opportunities, with routes suited to different abilities and landscapes that change with altitude. Summer is a good time for walks and excursions to neighbouring valleys; in spring and autumn, cooler temperatures make daytime walks a good choice. In winter, the region's resorts and snow-covered landscapes attract mountain enthusiasts. For a varied day out, you can combine a walk nearby with a visit to Embrun, then return to the quiet hamlets in the late afternoon.
