Goonie Lodge

Goonie Lodge offers two double rooms for two people, both with a private bathroom and air conditioning. Each has a kitchenette with a hob, refrigerator, microwave, kettle and utensils, as well as a dining area. A private terrace extends the room and offers views of the sea and mountains. Both rooms also have a coffee machine and a barbecue.

The layout is similar, but the rooms differ in size: the Queen Room with Sea View measures 14 m², while the Double Room with Sea View offers 20 m². Both have a large double bed and a shower in their private bathroom. A flat-screen TV and access to the pool with a view complete the facilities. The outdoor areas make it possible to eat on the terrace, facing the coastal scenery.

Outdoor spaces play an important role at Goonie Lodge. The garden opens onto an outdoor infinity pool and furnished terraces where you can enjoy the sun. A barbecue and outdoor furniture let you eat outside, while sun loungers and parasols are provided for relaxing by the water. Views stretch across the sea and surrounding hills.

The guest house has a bar and offers a full English or Irish breakfast, which can also be served in your room. The rooms are air-conditioned and have a kitchenette with a refrigerator, hob, microwave, kettle and coffee machine. Free Wi-Fi is available, and private on-site parking is free, with no reservation required. Pets are welcome free of charge. Check-in and check-out are handled privately; check-in is from 15:00 to 22:00, and check-out is between 07:00 and 11:00.

Les Issambres stretches along the Var coast, between Sainte-Maxime and Saint-Raphaël, facing the waters of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. This area of small coves, beaches and residential neighbourhoods appeals to travellers who want to alternate swimming, coastal walks and boat trips. The landscape combines pine trees, nearby hills and open views across the Mediterranean; the atmosphere is that of a Provençal seaside resort spread over a larger area than a compact town centre.

You can explore the coast in stages, visiting the beaches and coves dotted along the shore. Calanque de Bonne Eau and San Peïre Beach offer different settings for a swim or a walk by the water. The Vivier Maritime Gallo-Romain bears witness to the area's historic maritime activity. The port of Les Issambres is a good place to watch the boats and enjoy the coastal scenery. Saint-Raphaël-Valescure train station, 9 km away, connects the area to the regional rail network and major cities; a car makes it easier to travel between the beaches and nearby villages.

In summer, the sea and water sports set the pace, and the coast is busier. Spring and early autumn often bring pleasant conditions for walking and exploring the coves at a quieter pace. You could start the day with a swim, continue with a coastal walk and finish in Sainte-Maxime, where the port and town-centre streets are easy to explore on foot. The inland hills offer a different perspective on this part of the Var.
