Le Cabanon

Le Cabanon consists of a single detached 28 m² chalet, arranged for two people. It has one bedroom, a private bathroom and a living area with a dining area. The balcony and terrace extend the room outdoors; the windows look out over the garden and mountains. Soundproofing and a private entrance also set this accommodation apart from rooms in a shared property.

The kitchenette lets you prepare meals with a hob, oven, fridge and kitchenware. You will also find a kettle and a coffee machine. The chalet has a washing machine, sofa, seating area and dining table. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and hairdryer; towels and bed linen are provided. This layout brings the sleeping, dining and meal preparation areas together in one accommodation.

Le Cabanon has a garden with outdoor furniture, a sun terrace and a balcony. Barbecue facilities let you prepare a meal outside. The accommodation is detached and on the ground floor. You can enjoy hiking, horse riding and fishing. A designated smoking area is also available.

Sospel stretches along the Roya Valley, amid the mountains of the Alpes-Maritimes. The village combines old houses, colourful façades and narrow lanes leading down to the river. Its Pont-Vieux and historic centre give this town in the Nice hinterland an Alpine character. The surrounding area alternates between forests, steep slopes and hamlets, in a landscape suited to walks and mountain outings.

Fort du Barbonnet, 2.8 km away, bears witness to the region’s military history. In the village, the Musée des Fortifications Alpines Fort Saint-Roch traces the defensive organisation of the Alps. Château de Sospel and Saint-Michel Church offer more heritage to discover on a walk through the old streets. Sospel railway station is 3 km away; Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is 28 km away. A car makes it easier to travel between villages and reach walking trails in the valley.

The nearby trails offer routes for discovering mountain scenery, while quieter days can be spent exploring the old town and its fortifications. Spring and autumn are well suited to walks when temperatures are milder; in summer, it is best to take water and set off early. You can combine a visit to Sospel with an excursion into the Roya Valley, leaving time to enjoy the garden and terrace when you return.
