The countryside alternates between hills, cultivated fields and old buildings; a car makes it easier to explore the villages and natural sites.

Roussillon, 4.1 km away, is known for its ochre cliffs and trails, whose colours range from yellow to red. Gordes, 4.5 km away, can be explored on foot along its stone lanes, with open views over the valley. The Village des Bories features rural dry-stone buildings. Further afield, Mont Ventoux draws hikers and cyclists. Marseille Provence Airport is 52 km away; the hotel’s free private parking makes it easier to get around by car.

Spring and autumn are well suited to visiting the villages and going for walks, with generally milder temperatures than in high summer. In June and July, lavender fields colour parts of the Provençal landscape; summer is also the busiest season for excursions around Gordes and Roussillon.
