Maison de charme

La Maison de charme is rented as a whole: you have a 55 m² home with two bedrooms, a private bathroom and a maximum capacity of five people. This option suits families or small groups who want to share the communal areas while having two separate bedrooms. The living area includes a dining space and a sofa, and the fitted kitchen lets you prepare meals during your stay.

The house has air conditioning. The terrace, patio and garden overlook greenery and the mountains, with outdoor furniture for enjoying fine weather. Kitchen facilities include a dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge, microwave and coffee machine. A flat-screen TV with streaming service completes the indoor living space. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a hairdryer; bed linen and towels are provided.

Monteux is in the Vaucluse, on the Comtat Venaissin plain, north-east of Avignon. This Provençal town combines an old centre, walking areas and agricultural landscapes shaped by market gardening and orchards. It is a convenient base for exploring the towns of the Comtat and the heritage cities nearby. Families can also plan a day at Splashworld water park, located in Monteux.

The historic centre preserves old gateways and religious buildings, while Place de la Glacière and the producers' market offer a glimpse of local life. Monteux railway station is 1.6 km from the house; Carpentras railway station is 4.1 km away. Carpentras is worth visiting for Saint-Siffrein Cathedral, the Sobirats Museum and its shopping streets. Avignon offers the chance to spend a day at the Palace of the Popes and the city walls. A car makes it easier to explore the Vaucluse, although Monteux has its own railway station.

Spring and autumn are well suited to visits to villages and historic sites, with temperatures often milder than in midsummer. Summer days can be hot: plan walks for early morning and save the sunniest hours for a break or a water-based activity. You can combine a visit to the Monteux market with a tour of Carpentras centre and a walk through the Comtat landscape. Cycling and hiking enthusiasts can also plan an excursion towards Mont Ventoux, whose routes attract athletes and walkers depending on the season.
