Mas des Prêcheurs

Le Mas des Prêcheurs offers three accommodation options: a Deluxe Family Suite, a Family Junior Suite and a Superior Double Room. The two suites are designed for several guests, with different sleeping arrangements; the double room is suitable for two travellers. All have a private bathroom, air conditioning and a view. Sizes vary by type, from 25 m² for the double room to 80 m² for the largest family suite.

The Deluxe Family Suite has a large double bed and a sofa bed, as well as a bath and a shower. The Family Junior Suite offers a double bed and a single bed in 50 m² of space, with a shower or bath. More compact, the Superior Double Room measures 25 m² and has a shower. Towels, bed linen, a hairdryer and free toiletries are provided in the bathrooms.

The outdoor areas include a garden, a terrace and a seasonal heated outdoor swimming pool. Sun loungers or beach chairs and parasols let you enjoy the garden in fine weather. The suites and double room are air-conditioned and have private bathrooms; the family rooms offer sleeping arrangements suitable for several guests. Le Mas des Prêcheurs also has free private parking on site and free Wi-Fi throughout the bed and breakfast.

The bathrooms are equipped with towels, bed linen, free toiletries and a hairdryer. Depending on the room, you will find a shower, a bath or both. The rooms are non-smoking and heating is available. Breakfast is offered. Pets are allowed on request, possibly for an additional charge. These facilities suit both a family stay and a stop in Tarascon to visit the town and its surroundings.

Tarascon is in Bouches-du-Rhône, on the left bank of the Rhône, amid the flatlands and orchards of Provence. The town retains an old centre marked by its ramparts, gates and historic buildings. Le Mas des Prêcheurs is on the Chemin de la Chapelle Saint Victor, away from the busiest streets; a car makes it easier to travel between the villages, heritage sites and landscapes of the region.

The Château du Roi René overlooks the historic centre and traces Tarascon’s medieval importance. The Porte de la Condamine and the Porte Saint-Jean bear witness to the former fortifications. The Souleïado Textile Museum presents the history of Provençal textiles, while the Museum of Art and History adds to a visit to the local heritage. These places are around the centre, about 3 km from the bed and breakfast. The Jacques Durand Arena also recalls the importance of bullfighting traditions in this part of Provence. Tarascon railway station, 3.6 km away, connects the town with nearby destinations; Avignon can be reached by train from there.

Spring and autumn are particularly suited to walks through the old streets and excursions to nearby villages, when temperatures are milder. In summer, the heated outdoor swimming pool and garden offer a chance to relax between visits. You can spend a day at Tarascon’s château and museums, then cross the Rhône to discover Beaucaire and its château. Avignon and Arles offer further heritage sites, while country roads reveal the agricultural landscapes of Provence.
