The port of Les Issambres is a place to stroll along the seafront and enjoy views over the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. San Peïre Beach and Plage de la Pinède offer other stretches of coast for swimming and walks. Sainte-Maxime Golf Club provides a leisure option inland. For excursions, Sainte-Maxime offers the chance to explore the old town’s lanes and seafront; Saint-Raphaël and Fréjus provide another glimpse of the coast and their heritage. Fréjus railway station is 9 km away. A car is useful for getting between the beaches and nearby towns.

In summer, the days are hot and the seafront is busy; setting out early lets you enjoy the shore before the liveliest hours. Spring and September often offer a gentler pace for alternating swimming, coastal walks and visits. You can spend a morning at the beaches of Les Issambres, then head to Sainte-Maxime for an evening stroll. For a longer outing, the landscapes of the Massif des Maures and the villages of the Var make for a day trip, followed by a return to the coast at sunset.
