Beaumes-de-Venise, 2.4 km away, is known for its vineyards and natural sweet wines. Carpentras, 5 km away, has an old town, a historic synagogue and a well-known market. Carpentras railway station connects the area by regional train. A car is useful for exploring the wine estates, villages and routes around Mont Ventoux; the roads pass through vineyards, olive groves and orchards.

Spring and autumn are pleasant times to follow the trails and visit wine cellars, while summer brings long sunny days and more activity in the villages. The grape harvest generally takes place in late summer and autumn, an interesting time to discover local wine-growing life.
